Question 1

How does automated transaction categorization work?

Accepted Answer

Bookwren categorizes transactions as they arrive and uses merchant rules to represent recurring decisions consistently. Exceptions stay reviewable, so you and your accountant can inspect the entries that need context instead of treating every categorization as final.

Question 2

Can Bookwren remind customers about overdue invoices?

Accepted Answer

Bookwren can log invoice follow-up and reminder sequences for overdue invoices, then escalate exceptions for review. It keeps the follow-up cadence visible and recorded; it does not collect payment or guarantee that an invoice will be paid.

Question 3

How does Bookwren identify software savings and unused SaaS seats?

Accepted Answer

Bookwren surfaces subscription attention areas such as inactive or unused SaaS seats, headcount overprints, and renewal or card issues. For a possible saving, it can support a cancellation action and keep a paper trail; savings are potential, not guaranteed, and the final decision remains yours.

Question 4

Does Bookwren produce an accountant-ready monthly close?

Accepted Answer

Bookwren produces monthly P&L reporting and an accountant-ready handoff/export, positioned around a three-day close. Your accountant remains responsible for accounting judgment and work outside these supported surfaces; Bookwren does not replace that review or promise a particular close outcome.
